Popular Dino Pattern

 

Hey guys!! Here's a pattern you can use to make this dino here

Ive been seeing it on just about every social media platform but cannot find the pattern or creator anywhere soo i've decided to make my own pattern for it :)

If you do know who the creator of the original dino is, please feel free to let me know!!

Anyways pattern time!!

Materials:

•Any colour yarn for the body (i used king cole yummy)

•a darker/contrasting colour yarn for the spikes (")

•A crochet hook that matches the yarn being used (i used a 4.5mm hook)

•A darning needle

•A stitch marker

•OPTIONAL: sewing pins to secure parts before sewing

•Polyester stuffing

•safety eyes

Abbreviations:

•Mr- Magic Ring

•Sc- Single Crochet

•Inc- Increase (this is placing two sc into one st)

•Dec- Decrease (this is sc two st together)

•Sl st- Slip Stitch

•St- Stitch

(Use the body colour for all parts excluding the 6 spikes)

Head:

R1: Mr with 6sc

R2: (inc) x 6 (12)

R3: (1sc,1inc) x 6 (18)

R3: (2sc, 1inc) x 6 (24)

R4: (3sc,1inc) x 6 (30)

R5: (4sc, 1inc) x 6 (36)

R7-11 (5rounds) 36sc

(secure eyes between rounds 8&9,  8 st apart)

Arms (make 2):

COLOUR B

Spikes (make 4)

R1: Mr with 4sc

R2: (inc) x 4 (8)

Assembly:

• Sew the head and body together using one at from each at a time, stuffing more if necessary 
• Sew your tail onto rounds 3-8 of the body, ensuring it is stuffed enough along the way too
• Sew your spikes onto the body making sure there is equal distance between each. Try to make sure these are centred loves 
• Sew your arms onto rounds 13-15 of the body, making sure they're at least 6 st apart
• Sew the legs under the arms between rounds 3-6 of the body leaving 4 st gap in between them both
• Feel free to add blush under the eyes too! 
• Secure your nose between rounds 8-12 of the head, again ensuring it is centred. Stuff this part while you're sewing it :)
